St Georges Day Festival Friday 23rd April

Friday 23rd April saw the start of the Lytham St Georges Day Celebration
This year set of the picturesque Lytham Green Seafront.

Hundreds of people lined the streets of Lytham for The St Georges Day Parade, before 250 people arrived at the colossal marque on the sea front for a charity afternoon celebrations

The Marquee from Ck Marquee's of Kirkham was to its usual high standards, this year backed up with stunning floral centre pieces from Zime Design of Lytham. Coronet Hire provided high quality Crockery and Cutlery, and hats off especially to Cuffe and Taylor Event Management who kitted out the Marquee with a state of the art sound and lighting system, free of charge.

Rowley's were on hand to greet guests with bubbly and some mouth watering Canape's, all which were St Georges themed and locally sourced.



The Buffet Style Meal began with
Chicken Liver and Brandy Pate Filo Basket
Served with a Cherry Tomato Salad, Balsamic Syrup and Local Artizan Breads From Phil's Bakery


This was followed by Lancashire Tasty Soup

The Main Course was a Choice of Honey Roast Ham or Sirloin of Beef
Served with a Choice of Boiled New Potatoes, Celeriac Coleslaw, Oven Roasted Vegetable Pasta Salad and Continental Mixed Leaves

Dessert was a Choice of Sticky Toffee Pudding with Pembertons Dairy Cream
or
Locally Produced Singleton Dairy Cheeses


The Rest of the day was hosted by The Brothers of Swing

Who led the crowds in the obligatory sing along of 'Land of hope and Glory'
